A month after the official presentation, the project "Let's block poverty" has already entered into the heart. This ending week will in fact be remembered as the one that actually led Trentino Volley for the first time in Dagoretti district of Nairobi to begin the coordinated activity alongside with Amref Health Africa called "Street Volleyball". The goal is to create new recovery opportunities for young African through sport, passing on the values of the sport and its practice.
Since last Sunday Trentino Volley has in fact sent to Nairobi one of its own expert, Dario Sanna (former supervisor of the BIG Camp) to oversee and guide the organizational activity and volleyball: a not easy mission but very stimulating, that the coach is playing with great enthusiasm. "Before we even start our business on the playing fields and identify consonant locations to create them, together with the Executive Director of AMREF Italy Guglielmo Micucci, we held several meetings to plan each step and know the people who then become in effect the coaches boys” - says the coach chosen by the company Champion of Italy for this important project -. “The initiative indeed does not concern only the young people but also those who, through the hours of work, are willing and able to become the sports guides for these guys or simply helpers. Teaching the basics of volleyball, we just want to transmit the values of sport to these kids who need everything but also to live a few hours carefree and get an education not only concerning sports."
The project "Let's block poverty" will continue in the coming weeks touching other important organizational and humanitarian aspects; in the meantime, however, the foundations were laid.
